Here is a bird painting I created in 1980, in my  original style.  My interest in birds began as a youngster long before I ever dreamed of painting them.  My art-form in those early days was taxidermy.  The Red-Headed Woodpecker in a Magnolia tree with a touch of spanish moss is a typial scene in the deep South.  I made several magnoila / bird paintings while living in La. in the 70's.
