The setting for this painting was taken from Laccassine National Wildlife Refuge which
is located in southwest Louisiana.  I have done lots of waterfowl photography in this
16,000 acre freshwater marsh that has a wintering population of waterfowl numbering
around 600,000 birds...mostly puddle duck species.
